New Brunswick black duck
Bought at a local on line auction as a brant, with no description, one poor photo and no opportunity for preview. Once home, it seems much too small for a brant (14”) and on clean up it displays blue green speculum stripes on either side, so maybe meant as a black duck. Clearly a NB bird, with the two piece (in this case three piece) head. Labelled as being from Miscou Island off the NE coast of NB.
